The LiveJournal design team has come together to bring you this community. Our job is to make your LJ experience an easy and enjoyable one. But we can't do it without you. Over the coming months, we'll be posting new ideas and designs. Everyone is invited to leave their feedback and ideas. Together we can make LJ a better place!
Since this community is relatively new, we thought we'd start out with an introduction to the team.
Winnie (winniewong) - Director of UI (User Interface)
Winnie has over 10 years of design experience and heads up the design team. She's in charge of making sure everyone knows what they're doing and communicating design requirements with the LiveJournal engineers. Her dog, Shelby, is also the most famous pug in the world.
Jamison (jamisononfire) - Interaction Designer
Jamison is working on a new project code named Comet but lately has been lending his expertise in improving LiveJournal's usability. He's an interaction designer which means he's in charge of figuring out the layout and arrangement of items on a page making it easier for you to do the things you want to do. Jamison is also riding in the AIDS LifeCycle, a 585 mile ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to fight AIDS. If you'd like to help, you can make a donation.
Nicole (technopatra) - Mistress of Wireframes
Her title says it all. Nicole is the Mistress of Wireframes. She's tasked with the monumental job of redesigning many of LiveJournal's key areas. Her latest goal is to improve the interface of, ScrapBook, LJ's photo hosting service. When it's all done, you'll be able to upload and manage all your photos in a snap. Nicole is into culture-jamming art, listens to punk rock and jazz equally, and is a regular at Burning Man.
Andy (veroz) - Design Slave 5000
Andy started out at LiveJournal as an intern in June 2005 and has since then been promoted to a full time employee. He's LiveJournal's visual designer and is in charge of creating any graphics or "visuals" that LJ may require. Andy likes ninjas and playing video games. When he grows up, he wants to be a new media designer.
